macOS 27 Golden Gate Compatibility Notice -Tiger Spaces Client and Tiger Store Client
Apple's macOS 27 "Golden Gate" changes how Rosetta 2 behaves on Apple Silicon Macs. Unlike previous Apple Silicon macOS releases, Golden Gate does not keep Rosetta 2 installed after you upgrade - the system removes it automatically.
All current Tiger Technology apps for macOS rely on Rosetta 2 to run on Apple Silicon Macs. After upgrading to Golden Gate, you will need to install Rosetta 2 before you can install, run, or uninstall any Tiger Technology app on your Mac as it no longer carries over automatically from your previous version of macOS.
Important: Upcoming releases of all Tiger Technology apps for macOS will be fully Apple Silicon-compatible, with no Rosetta 2 requirement at all. These releases are in their release candidate phase and will be available very soon.
Tiger Store Client
If you need to upgrade to Golden Gate now, you can continue using the current release, Tiger Store Client 2.9.5 - but it is advisable to uninstall any version of the Tiger Store Client software you may have installed on your macOS before upgrading the operating system, then install Rosetta 2 after the upgrade and proceed with the Tiger Store Client 2.9.5 installation.
Tiger Spaces Client
The current release of Tiger Spaces Client (version 4.7) is not compatible with macOS 27. Customers are advised to wait until version 4.8 is released before upgrading their operating system to Golden Gate.
