Two instances of Tiger Bridge may end up with duplicated serial keys if their OS image was initially cloned instead of cleanly installed on both.
Having multiple instances of Tiger Bridge with duplicated serial numbers would lead to reporting problems or configuration issues.
In order to resolve this, you can perform the procedure below on one of the affected server machines with duplicated serial keys:
- Click Start and choose Run.
- In the dialog, type "regedit" to start the Windows Registry editor.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SANDS\Parameters registry key and select it (as some of the keys would be missing, you need to manually create them).
- Right-click in the right pane and select New.
- Select DWORD Value from the context menu.
- Type "SerialBy" as a value name.
- Right-click SerialBy and select Modify.
- Change the value to 1 to generate serial number by maximal NIC MAC address, and click OK.
- Restart the computer. If restarting the computer is not an option, you can try restarting the product service first (Bridge, Store, Spaces..).
- Double check if the serial key for the chosen Tiger Bridge server machine had changed, and then re-activate its SaaS license by using the updated serial key
